Dear Parents,
Mrs. Kilpeck has been busy this week. There are a lot of injured fingers and that means multiple bandaids.
The rats seemed under the weather so they made their first trip to the vets. I was a little embarrassed but the vet was very caring and examined both rats. Whoopie has some antibiotics to take. Ratical is fine.
The theme in 5/6 science is designing your own experiment. We discussed experiments around magnetism and they will be making their own electromagnets on Monday.
All 7/8 science assignments are on Moodle. You can log on with your child to see their work, grades and quizzes.
The salmon eggs come in next week!!
Parent teacher conferences - February 7-10.
I am still looking for Johnny’s seed catalogs.
5th and 6th graders have Unit Test!!
Please call if you have questions!

Dear Parents,
In Science, students have been researching science articles that interest them and presenting their findings to the rest of the class. Did you know that in the last few weeks there have been dozens of mass animal deaths, particularly birds and fish. We found out that this is actually common and random. There are many unrelated causes for these mass deaths. Did you know that chronic jet lag causes hamsters brains to slow down or that studies show that excessive sugar consumption as a child leads to increased heart disease as an adult?
If you have any remodeling projects coming up, you might want to consult a 6th grader. They are studying area and linear measurement and can tell you how much paint or carpet you need.
Parent teacher conferences - February 7-11.
There is a Penobscot dance tonight. 8th graders who are helping need to be here at 6:15PM. The dance starts at 7:00PM and admission is $4.
