March 24, 2011

Dear Parents,
Spring is an exciting time and the 5th and 6th graders have started an exciting new unit focused on those changes. Each small group has a main focus: soil temperature, robin activity, sprout activity, eagle sightings and garden activity. Tyler Brenton is pulling the class webpage together and each group will make a contribution.

Arianna has become a contributing editor to the Learning Garden blog and by next week the individual sites should be online. Check out these URLs:

Here is what is happening Friday:

The students should arrive at 4PM. We will have pizza and coleslaw for them at 6:30PM. We will have snacks out during the night and will put a light breakfast out at about 7:00 AM.
We will have plenty of herbed popcorn. Brenda Clark is baking some snacks. Laurie Norton is making a fruit salad.

This is what I need:

The pizza needs to be picked up at 6PM
More snacks and juice
Things for breakfast
